Wirral GP surgery gets a make-over

Work has begun on a medical practice in Wirral to develop a ‘state-of-the-art £3.5m GP surgery.

The new 14,000 square foot building aims to provide the patients of the King’s Lane Medical Practice with access to additional consultation rooms, a minor operations suite and integrated pharmacy.

It has also been designed to incorporate “substantial expansion space”, which would potentially allow a second practice to relocate to the building in the future.

“We are delighted that the building work for our new surgery has begun and we look forward to being able to offer our patients a more comprehensive healthcare service in their local area,” said Sue Ryder, Practice Manager at Kings Lane Medical Practice.

The project, which is being carried out by Assura, is expected to complete in the summer of 2012.
