A delegation from a Stockholm-based public health body is visiting the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement later this month to hear about sustainability models and how learnings from the NHS can be adapted into local organisations.
The visit by the Department for Improvement, Health and Social Division at the Swedish Association of Local Authorities takes place at the NHS Institute's offices at the University of Warwick on Wednesday 21st February.
One of the main reasons that it has been arranged is so that the NHS Institute can share their knowledge on their Sustainability Model and Guide, developed in 2006.
Lynne Maher, Head of Innovation Practice at the NHS Institute, who developed the model, said: "The sustainability model that we have developed here has been used to some extent already in Sweden.
"This meeting is an exciting opportunity to talk about the challenges and opportunities for improvement from the perspective of a national organisation."
