The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has said its website now has a section offering guidance on general practice.

It said it aims to maintain up-to-date advice for primary care professionals, especially on specialised topics such as consultations.

NICE also said the site provides information on how best to keep medical practitioners at the top of their game, as well as offering support for commissioners.

Other sections of the website have resources for particular patient groups such as smokers or those needing antenatal care, and provides guidance news for primary care givers.

GPs are invited to visit the site throughout November and comment on it.
