New healthy workplace guidance has been officially endorsed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as an evidence based resource to help implement the NICE workplace guidance.
The toolkit, produced by NHS Employers, aims to support the improvement of staff health and wellbeing by providing practical tips and step-by-step information on how to implement the six pieces of NICE workplace guidance.
Daniel Mortimer, chief executive of NHS Employers, said: 'It’s a real credit to the value and impact of our creating healthy workplaces toolkit for it to be formally endorsed by NICE.
'Like our work, NICE uses evidence based practice to create robust guidance for healthcare improvement, and we look forward to supporting many more organisations in improving the health of their workplaces.'
The toolkit includes case studies, infographics, checklists, tips, research and summary guidance on mental wellbeing, smoking, long-term sickness, physical activity and obesity.
